New Board Member

Wayne Otto 9 times World Karate Champion has been elected to join the Uechi-Ryu board of directors. Wayne joins Terry Daly, Steve McNally Snr., Paul Natzyl and newly elected Chairman Mick Pappas.

Wayne has acheived record breaking success with his talent for Kumite (sparring). His record of 9 world titles puts Wayne in the category of one of the greatest talents Karate has ever known.

Wayne has now retired from the Kumite circuit as a participant but is still kept busy with teaching at his club and coaching seminars held around the world.

In addition Wayne has also been recently awarded the rank of 5th Dan by the board.



Dan Grading Results - 4th April 2009

A Dan grading was held in Oxford on the 4th April 2009. The following grades were awarded.

Andrew Worth - 1st Dan
Jeffrey Ott - 2nd Dan
Barry Coles - 4th Dan
Tony Hutton - 4th Dan
Stephen McNally - 4th Dan
